Grindstone Mechanical is a family owned and operated HVAC, Refrigeration, and Mechanical Services company from Cleveland Ohio. Our family started working in the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration world at a young age.
Our grandfather ran his own heating and cooling company for several decades in the Columbus Ohio area. He made a point to acclimate all of his grandchildren to the business. Partly because we were willing to work for ice cream in the early days.
Although our grandfather is no longer with us, four of his grandchildren work at Grindstone Mechanical today. It means a lot to us to be working together as a family after all this time. We have deep roots together and deep roots in this industry. That is in no small part why we go to such great lengths to be the best company we can be and to earn the satisfaction of our customers.
But what do we actually do?
Lot’s of people don’t necessarily know what HVAC is or what sort of things a Mechanical Services company actually does. In a nutshell, we repair, install, and maintain a large variety of commercial and residential equipment. HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. That includes things that may be obvious like Furnaces, Air Conditioners, and ductwork. Other less obvious things that can include are heat pumps, boilers, heated floors, and rooftop units.
Refrigeration is another component of our business. It is not always obvious to people what this means either. Refrigeration includes a large variety of typically commercial equipment. Things such as walk-in coolers, ice machines, under counter coolers, walk-in freezers, and virtually anything your business uses to keep things cool, cold, or frozen.
All of this and more folds into the Mechanical Service part of what we do. HVAC and Refrigeration could both be described as Mechanical Services. However, we work worth many other things that don’t fit so neatly into the other two categories. Things like commercial ovens, grease hoods, kitchen equipment, preventative maintenance and other types of equipment service.
